Cloud Cost Health check

Azure and AWS environments grow fast - new services, new pricing models, new teams provisioning resources that outlive their purpose. What starts as a controlled deployment becomes a sprawling estate with no single owner and no clear view of what's driving cost. 

Development teams are focused on delivery, not spend. Resources get provisioned at pace, left running, and forgotten. Wasted spend doesn't announce itself - it compounds quietly until someone notices the invoice. 

Commercial levers like Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and hybrid licensing can cut costs significantly - but only when they're matched to real consumption patterns. Most organisations either miss them entirely or commit incorrectly. The result is money left on the table, or financial exposure from commitments that no longer fit. 

Meanwhile, finance can't interrogate what it doesn't understand, and engineering doesn't see the commercial impact of its decisions. Nobody owns the problem - and so it doesn't get solved. 

The result is a cloud environment that works - but quietly costs far more than it should. And without an honest, independent assessment, it will continue to do so.
