An organisation that held multiple licensing agreements across a complex entirety structure asked Synyega to conduct a forensic review of the Oracle estate and contracts. The goal was to provide detailed analysis of the Oracle licensing position and in particular the use of enterprise management packs and options. This would be used to support and determine the requirements for an upcoming renewal and to feed into a cloud migration strategy.

Despite a disparate, federated estate it was essential that we reviewed the estate in its entirety. This ensured that our allocation of licences to deployments was done in the most cost optimal way for the organisation. Our ex-Oracle auditors follow a process similar to an Oracle audit and so quickly helped the client to obtain the required data - but as we are independent the results are only shared with the client organisation. This means optimal preparations can be made to mitigate risk and optimise cost.
